~TITANIC~ The Artifact Exhibition At Discovery Times Square Exposition
226 West 44th Street, New York City.
I journeyed back in time to 1912 and experienced Titanic's Maiden Voyage. I ventured through the reconstruction of the ship's interior. Viewing 1st class, passing through the cabins of the 2nd class, the bunks in 3rd class and boiler room. Gazing upon the personal items of people long ago.

After nearly a century...Titanic arrived in New York. This post is dedicated to all those who put their talents into the craftsmanship of this beautiful vessel, to those who's lives were lost and to you who's hearts go on.
This is a must see. Exhibition ends in Feb 2010

~As I was creating these roses today, adding each pedal and then forming them, rolling the edges and painting them with watercolor. This poem came to my mind. I stand amazed at how it only took God, six days to create all the marvelous wonders for us.

I, as many have often said that phrase. The last blue moon was in May 2007. There have been poems written and scientist have studied this phenomenon. Molecules of air are much smaller than the wave length of visible light. Blue light has a shorter wave length than red. Blue light scatters more than red. The effect Rayleigh scattering. This is responsible for what is called Tyndall blue. Another one of the fascinating wonders of our planet.

Yesterday felt like spring 54 degrees ! Favorable weather had everyone rejoicing, even the Herring Gulls.

~ Attention All Narnians~Aslan has declared that the thaw in Narnia is over. All Narnians should get out in this brief time of thaw and go treasure hunting and replenish their supplies~

**The Blizzard of 2009**

And what a blizzard it was! It truely is looking a lot like Christmas now. Measurement 20". I myself am a Long Islander, but lived up state NY for a number of years. The accumulation of snow up there, is soooo much more. I had a good chuckle when the broadcasters were getting so spun up about this storm coming in. The national gaurd was in preparation for this, the plows and sanders were all in place. It realy made me giggle . Its only snow.**

If you realy don't have anywhere to go....stay home. If you have to drive...go slow. My suggestion, stay home and have a bowl of chili and hot cocoa. And cozy up!

~Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree~ I wanted to share this amazing tree with you. It is on display at the Port Jefferson Village Center at Harborfront Park. Members of the Paper Folders Association, have acquired these ornaments from the Museum Of Natural History. The decorating of this tree has been a work in progress since the early 90's. Every year since, a new ornament is added. Each ornament is created by members of the Origami Guild. The theme of course, marine life. From all the mermaids and artists we appreciate this creation. Thank you

~Creating Mode~I have been inspired to create again, and trust that this message will encourage you also. I have had a set back with my health, but find that small works of creativity help the spirit and body heal. There is " hope" in times when disappointments make us feel dismal and the burdens of tomorrow bring dismay. May we be diligent in the responsibilities given to us, but may we also be set free to put into existence the talent we wish to share. Focus on the needs and "dreams" of you, apply the energy within you, for you. No matter what life throws at you, you will be cheerful. Keep in mind the value of "you".

I cannot believe another year has gone by................so many events in 2008, so much to be thankful for. Christmas went by in a flash. The new year is well on the way, and I am looking forward to the wonderful things in store. Wishing those of you who stop by and visit my blog a blessed 2009. ~Break Time~Took a relaxing walk today in the Pine Forest. Temp today was in the high 30's..Brrrrrr ! In the forest it was even colder. I didn't leave empty handed, I picked some beautiful cones off the forest floor and will give them to the fairies to work their magic. And my being felt peaceful to walk in Gods creation. !! Here are some more goodies !!

News flash from the nest.............The fairies have been hard at work . They have managed to complete several projects on the list ,which has made Mother Goose very happy. ~Let it snow,let it snow, let it snow~ Travels upstate brought a surprise.........the white stuff. Thankfully it melted the next day and the sun was shining brightly. The crispness of the air and the blanket of purity was a blessing to my senses. Spending time with loved ones, was the best part. During these weeks to come, as we all are preparing for the feasts and gatherings of the holiday season........remember to seek the joy in all, be a blessing to one another and cherish every moment in time.

~The beauty of fall in upstate New York~The trip is long...........but the scenery helps make time slip by. It was early morning and the fog was laying in the valley blanketing the trees. The deer were out grazing and Gods glory was all around~~The fruits of our Labor~During my summer visit, I helped plant a "humble" garden, to my amazement the harvest was plenty.

~Autumn, the season of maturity.............Thistledown, the feathery fluff pictured below. During the summer months, the thistle flower is purple in color and fyi, it is the national flower of Scotland.

~Tuffys last day on the farm~ He is known to us by Tuffy. An awesome machine, strong and willing to work at any moment. He has labored on the farm over two decades, and he has served well. With his assistance, projects were demolished and built. Thousands of pounds of snow has he moved, and many a meadow mowed. He is now on a journey to Poland. He will be used for farming and his work load will be lighter. Today was his day of retirement...............................

~Tuffy saves the day~............and not without the last hurrah!!!! The tractor trailor that was Tuffys escort to the border, got stuck in the soft ground. Well, good ol Tuffy was chained and secured and pulled that eighteen wheeler out like it was a go cart! kodos to Tuffy!!!

~Securing Tuffy for the journey~The boys assist the driver in the securing of items on the trailor. They are so helpful and willing to assist. They are the best............my sons.
